Vxt was announced as Grand Winner of the competition last Wednesday, as well as receiving the award for the best business pitch. Along with the awards Vxt received $19,000 worth of prizes to continue to develop their business.

We are always working really hard to build a platform our users love. This week we're launching version 1 of Vxt Web available on any internet-enabled device. With our new app you could even access your Vxt inbox from a TV if you wanted to.

This week Vxt was awarded the Christchurch Business Club's Business Development Grant for their smart assistant software which converts users voicemail to text and automates other tasks generally associated with checking voicemail.

Lucy is one of the co-founders of Vxt and has led the technical side of the business since November 2018. The original idea for Vxt was to build a simple visual voicemail app which included speech to text, an idea that has since changed.

It's been a whirlwind few days since the launch of our beta programme. It has been awesome to hear from those of you already using the app.

On Monday 27th July we quietly made Vxt available in the United States. In less than a week it has steadily grown to account for approximately 20% of daily new installs. This is wholly organic growth, we're not advertising in the US.

The team behind Vxt were ecstatic to be announced as a finalist in the competition.

This week Vxt entered into a funding agreement with Callaghan Innovation as a part of Callaghan's Research & Development funding programme. Callaghan's Getting Started Grants cover 40% of your research and development project costs up to a limit of $5,000.
