Canterbury Tech

We had a fantastic experience this month sharing Vxt's story with the audience at Canterbury Tech's June event. It was interesting to take a more technical approach to the presentation and to share our thoughts on the future of machine learning & speech recognition technology. As always the Q&A with the audience was our favorite part of the evening; it’s great to see the variety of perspectives that come out when we talk to people who are hearing about Vxt for the very first time.

A huge thanks goes to Canterbury Tech for hosting us and to all of the other presenters for sharing their fascinating projects.

Entre 85K Startup Challenge

We’re really excited to be a part of the Entre 85K Startup Challenge which kicks off next month. The annual event sees 20 student-led start-ups compete for a share of $85,000 worth of prizes over the three month long competition.

We’re Bigger & Better

Over the last few months we’ve been looking for a software development intern to add to the Vxt team. We were very excited to receive heaps of interest for the role from applicants with a wide array of backgrounds. As a result of quality of the interviewees, we decided to do a small capital raise so that we could offer not one, but three internships! With the help of these three new software developers we’re smashing our development milestones. Stay tuned to our social media to learn more about our new team members.

We’re launching our beta programme in late July which will see our software slowly rolling out to our first users. There's still a chance to sign up to be one of the first people in New Zealand to get your hands on our app. If you’d like to be a part of our beta programme you can sign up on our website.

Unfiltered Live - Christchurch

On the 25th of June Unfiltered NZ held Unfiltered Live in Christchurch. The event saw renowned speakers from all over the world descend into the CBD for nine hours of lessons on the necessity of failure and the learning which can come from it.

Among the standouts at the event were entrepreneur and technologist Dan Goldin, a respected leader in space exploration who served three presidential administrations leading NASA through its renaissance and David Rogier the Co-Founder & CEO of MasterClass raising more than US $130 million dollars since 2013.

We are privileged to have been invited by Jake Millar and Geoff Cranko who generously sponsored our attendance at the event.
