Vxt Release 2.6.0

Our team has been working hard to release one of our largest updates yet (Over 7000 lines of code 😲)!!

We've significantly improved the performance of the inbox and message screens. This means you should notice Vxt running WAY faster especially if you have a lot of messages.

New Speech Recognition Features

In this update, you will be able to alter the language used to transcribe your voicemail. You can specify the language right down to country-specific accents. Try this out in settings!Originally, if you received a voicemail from someone in Australia it was transcribed using the English (New Zealand) speech recognition model. In this update, we added functionality so that by default, overseas calls are transcribed using the language code from the callers country (for the most popular ~20 countries). This means if you get a voicemail from someone in the states, we'll transcribe it using speech recognition trained on the American accent. We also added functionality so that you can override the speech recognition used for your callers by choosing a model to be used to transcribe all of your messages. If you tend to get messages from close family members who have British accents say, you can select English (United Kingdom) in settings.

Audio Download & Share

You can now download or share your voicemail recordings. This means you can send the recorded message via email, save it to your phone, or anything else you want!

Voicemail Greetings Bug

For the users that have experienced garbled or very quiet voicemail greeting recordings, we're testing a fix that you can access on the settings screen. Head to settings and then scroll to the bottom, under Advanced you can turn on Use alternative recording library. Once you've activated the alternative recording library try to record your greeting again and let us know how you get on.

On top of all these features, the update also includes a variety of smaller improvements and bug fixes.

As always, if you run into any issues get in touch with the team at info@vxt.co.nz
