Push Notifications & More!

Vxt Release 1.2.0

It's been a whirlwind few days since the launch of our beta programme. It has been awesome to hear from those of you already using the app. If you haven't had a chance to download it yet and you're on Android, hit the button below!

Push notifications are live

You might have noticed that you haven't been getting notifications from us about voicemail, but no longer! Push notifications are live. So, as soon as you update the app you should start to receive a notification whenever you get a voicemail.

On top of that we have fixed a few of the bugs that have been reported to us so far, such as:

  • The app will no longer crash when voicemails are received from private numbers.
  • The duration of voicemails are now more accurate.
  • Messages are now able to be deleted.
  • Various other small bug fixes and changes.

A few of you have noticed that custom greetings are not yet working. We have made it a priority to get custom greetings working but were unable to fix it for this release. We will do our best to have them working as soon as possible.

Vxt Awarded NZBI Grant

Students Luke Campbell, Lucy Turner and Lachlan Maclean are on a mission to make voicemail in New Zealand more efficient with their software company Vxt. The trio are developing a 'visual voicemail' inbox application which converts voicemail to text and highlights the key point of the message. This month Vxt received a $4000 grant from New Zealand Business Intelligence (NZBI), as a part of their Giving Back competition for young entrepreneurs.
